Mission

The Westmount Youth Orchestra provides young musicians with the opportunity to create orchestra music at the highest level. Through the youth symphony orchestra and a varied program of ensembles, we provide musical environments that offer creative instruction, intense collaboration, and a joyful experience. We strive to deepen our young musicians’ sensitivity, cultural awareness and confidence, as well as their enjoyment of music. In so doing our ambition is to foster in young people an enduring relationship with classical music.
